A new model Dalek by Librarian-bot A new model Dalek by Librarian-bot
Nothing especially revolutionary here, except that I have overhauled all the main sections of this model. The hemis are now integrated properly into the skirt - which removes several visual glitches on the model - the dome sits on some proper runners and the eyestork has as actual hinge to hold it in place.

All of which is going to be very useful for something I have planned for Christmas.

Stay tuned, as they say....

I do not own the Daleks, Doctor Who or any combination of the two outside of the images and models I create based on them, which are mine and should not be used without my permission

I was just drawing a Dalek, blending all kids of designs. And then I found yours, it looks exactly like! Only the light bulbs are tiny bit different but still!

-Nice one! I had been wondering where you were at lately. Always good to see you with new stuff!

It is just my screen, or is the eyelamp slightly green..?

Anyway, Merry Christmas and all that!

Thanks and happy Christmas to you too!

And I think it must be your screen - I didn't change the eye colour and it's still set to be pale blue...

Orthographic views please?

Well, I'll update the Empire Dalek views in the gallery eventually - there aren't any real visible changes so I haven't made that a priority (the most that can be seen, orthographically, is that it's lost half a centimetre in height).

Excellent model. I really like the modelling of the blocks around the shoulder section, and the small gaps that make them distinct from the horizontal band; that's the kind of attention to detail that I love to see. I think the eye is also especially good. Well done :)

Thanks for the kind comments - really glad you like it (and I must comment on a few of the models you've put up over the last few months, keep meaning to)!
