90s Daleks

Description

Ok...so the title is probably confusing some of you (let's face it, probably most, since this is the kind of warped reasoning that could only come from the mind of a Doctor Who-obsessed loon such as myself) but it is actually reasonably logical. The comicstrip stories 'Nemesis of the Daleks' (1989) and 'Emperor of the Daleks' (1993), and the Big Finish plays 'The Genocide Machine' (2000) and 'The Mutant Phase' (2000) all featured a globe-headed Dalek Emperor, which was served in 'The Genocide Machine' by the same Dalek Supreme seen in 'Planet of the Daleks' - at least as far as the cover and promotional art was concerned.

This all hangs together with the same logic and consistency for which the Dalek timeline is justly famed, but it just seemed right to associate Lee Sullivan's Dalek Emperor, the Planet Supreme and the 'Frontier' Dalek and make them into a coherent era (25th through 30th centuries, more or less).

All of which is a rather flimsy excuse to show off the render that I've been working on for the past few days (blasted lighting rassenfassen).

Enjoy!

Doctor Who and the Daleks belong to their respective copyright owners. This Emperor is based on the version created by Lee Sullivan, comic-artist.
